A survey conducted by the Department of justice revealed that less than 75% of churches in the United States have dedicated Security Plan. A Security Plan is a written documentation outlining the duties and responsibilities of the Security Team Members.

ASSESS

It is very important to perform an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your church in regard to liability, safety, and security.

STRATEGY

A plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall goal. Having a good Security Plan coupled with a well-trained Security Team who conducts training regularly.

IMPLEMENTATION

This occurs by placing your Security Plan into action. Having Security Team maintain and monitor their assigned sectors. With the purpose and intent of responding, preventing and deterring potential harmful incidents of violence or criminal activity.

EXECUTION

Security Team Members conduct security sweeps before, during, and after service of designated areas. The Security Team Members continue to monitor assigned areas and escort, safe guard and provide security to the pastor(s), leaders, guest and congregations.
